Reducing The Overpopulation One Kitten At A Time
Leah Beatty, founder of Leah’s Little Feline Friends Rescue, is a huge animal advocate, devoted to saving the lives of kittens and other animals. She has a certificate in Animal Welfare Management and is currently going to school for Veterinary Technology. She decided to start her own at-home based kitten animal rescue to try and reduce the overpopulation of kittens even by just a small amount. Her rescue is now a registered nonprofit organization. So far, we have been able to save 40+ cats/ kittens get fixed, vetted, and vaccinated.
As an animal caretaker at a local rescue, I have seen what it’s like firsthand for kittens. We receive calls daily on different situations including those who are seeking help for kittens who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. I really want to make a difference in some way and I’m sure you do too. So come along this journey with me to help save the lives of tiny kittens.
Our mission is to reduce the overpopulation of cats/kittens in our community by spaying/neutering, vaccinating, deworming, and getting them properly vetted before finding forever homes. Kittens go home spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, rabies vaccinated, and will receive their first FVRCP vaccine that will need boosted in 3-4 weeks. We specialize in nursing moms and young kittens and get them the proper care they need to thrive.
Our vision is to hopefully expand our rescue to where we can take in more animals. We are in the process of getting a 501(c)3 and with that we hope to one day have a building up and running. We plan on taking dogs/puppies in the future as well as other types of animals.
Your support and contributions will enable us to be able to spay/neuter kittens in our care. We often run low on kitten litter and food. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
